# LaunchDarkly pricing calculator

Paste a LaunchDarkly shape: backend services, client apps, environments, and client-side MAUs. The calculator estimates service connections at $10 each and MAUs at $10 per 1,000 ($8.33 on annual billing), then maps MAUs to Betterflag evaluations (default 200 per MAU per month).

## How the math works

- **LaunchDarkly connections** = (backend services + client apps) × environments × $10/mo
- **LaunchDarkly MAUs** = MAU / 1,000 × $10/mo (or $8.33 on annual)
- **Betterflag evaluations** = MAU × evaluations-per-MAU
- **Betterflag tier** = cheapest of Starter (1M), Launch (5M), Scale (50M) including published overage

100k MAU × 200 evaluations = 20M evaluations. Cheapest Betterflag bill is Launch plus 15M overage ($84.99), not the $24.99 included price. Scale ($99.99) includes 50M.
